List of Engine Oils for Four-Stroke Motorcycles

Thinking about changing oil brands? You are in the right place if you are a motorcycling novice rider like me and looking for an engine oil you want to use for your specific motorcycle that matches the specifications recommended by your manufacturer. Every engine oil packaging lists its viscosity grade and JASO/API requirements. Checking the label is all it takes to select the proper engine oil for your motorcycle. Using oils that don't match the specifications recommended by your manufacturer is solely at your own risk. Don't blame me if anything goes wrong!

If you’re considering switching between oil brands, keep in mind that this should be generally safe in all aspects as long as you are able to match the specifications recommended by your manufacturer. Remember that one specific oil viscosity or refinement type may not always be the best for your motorcycle, despite the hearsay that goes around. What’s best for other motorcycles may not always be what’s best for your own motorcycle. In this blog I've compiled some engine oils (mineral/semi-synthetic/fully synthetic) for four-stroke motorcycles from different authoritative sources so you don't have to struggle in scouring the internet.
